The movable trolley for the tank-truck is fixed on “Tonar” axles. The new model had a success during the ground test and received the class vehicle approval. The set of such tank-trucks will be put into production in the nearest future. | |

Some certain conditions such as high rate motion, increased vehicle load capacity and over loaded traffic made special demands for modern brake system. The recent modernization of drum brakes has achieved its highest level. Meanwhile, almost all the leading manufacturers have shifted to using disc brakes for their vehicles. One of the more obvious advantages of using disk brakes is their technical faculties. They enable to make more effective braking due to the slight influence of constant of friction towards the brake torque value. All this provides a safer vehicle motion at high speed, mainly when climbing or descending. Other advantages: 1. Mechanism low weight due to the absence of releasing shaft, control lever, etc. 2. High efficiency factor due to the considerably small number of actuated parts. 3. Low air consumption due to the use of brake chambers with low rod move. 4. High durability of linings (up to 300 000 km) and brake discs (up to 800 000 km). 5. Built-in automatic clearance control and brake linings wear-out indicator. 6. Convenient maintenance due to the simple brake linings change procedure and clearance control maintenance. To the possible disadvantages of the disc brakes can be mentioned high demands for compressors, which protect actuated parts of the brake against water and dirt. With eye to the future “Tonar” plans to broaden the axle range for semitrailers, as well as the production of axles with disc brake mechanisms (22,5``). | |
